About the Artist

Artist Brian Johnson has created a true masterpiece.  Its almost a shame we can only show you pictures, because the details on this bike are unparalleled to none.  His unique blend of the abstract with futurism really created something special. The bike reeks of movement with waves, trees, and oozes with growth.

Bio:
I was born in 1972 and raised in southern California. I spent the majority of my adolescence on a skateboard. Sometimes I still get on a skateboard, but it never ends up good. Growing up in the 80’s and early 90’s when color popped and all the skateboards had a different shape was kind of cool.

The evolution of my art and life since then has had many changes. I live a life of creating art every day. I have two boys and I have been married for 13 years. I teach art full time in the OC at a high school and I am pursing a Masters of Fine Arts Degree in drawing and painting at CSUF in Fullerton, CA. Lets just say I am a busy guy. I paint, I draw, do screen-printing, graphic arts and just about anything I can get my hands on creatively. My art tends to float seamlessly between futurism, abstraction and realism. It can also overlap at times. My busy life and eclectic artistic background gives me the opportunity to do many different projects and venture out in many different directions artistically. Basically, I make what I want whenever I feel like it!

I specifically created this Solé art bike with the intention of communicating and combining organic forms and realistic elements together in a single scene. The imagery on the bike came to me as the art began to evolve intuitively. The project progressed daily and weekly adding to it periodically when I felt the need to. In this piece, life meets death, earth meets water, and some may say that beauty meets ugliness. However, they all need each other to survive.
